Effect of organic amendment on soil characteristics and the uptake of nickel by Odontarrhena chalcidica

A comparative research on the impact of organic amendments soil characteristic and uptake heavy metals, micro macroelements Odontarrhena chalcidica has been carried out. Experiments have implemented in controlled conditions. The serpentine used this experiment was sampled from vicinity village Kazak, Bulgaria. pot a randomized complete block design containing 9 treatments three replications (27 pots). consisted control (no meliorants), compost, vermicompost, biochar activated carbon (added at 2.5% 5.0%, respectively, recalculated based dry weight). application additives to influences physicochemical properties leads an increase matter content (P, K, Ca Mg) trace elements (Fe, Mn, Zn) soil. affects Ni, by chalcidica. Plant biomass increased significantly, there clear correlation between amount supplement applied biomass. Organic had positive effect yield, influenced type additive dose. Ni yield 3 times higher variants with 5% compost vermicompost input. resulted twofold decrease while marginal increase.
